Design Process
Discovery & Purpose
The design process begins with understanding the photographer’s mission: capturing the personality of pets while supporting dog rescue and adoption. Through research and stakeholder conversations, the core goals are defined—presenting the photography portfolio and communicating the stories of pets from shelters.
User Personas
Based on benchmark research and an interview with a client, the primary user personas were developed. It including pet owners seeking professional photography and visitors interested in dog rescued and animals rights.
Visual identity
Colors:
The colors were inspired by the combination of the playfulness and emotional depth of the photographer's work with a touch of the urban environment. The color/text contrast corespondent to ratio from 8.09:1 to 4.68:1
Typography:
Open Sans (typeface)
Brings readability, elegance and a modern look to website and logo.
Logo Design:
The logo was inspired by the customer’s adopted pet, transforming a personal story into a visual identity that celebrates the bond between dogs and people. This concept became the foundation for storytelling, connecting memorable city experiences with photo camera, and creating a unique narrative that reflects both the photographer’s work and her advocacy for dogs.


Product development
The final product was developed in a Wix platform with the focus on responsive design principles, ensuring layouts adapt seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. User journeys were mapped to ensure that potential clients have easy access to the booking section or can contact the photographer at any point during their visit.

Evaluation
The web design undergoes thorough testing and evaluation to ensure usability, accessibility, alignment with the brand, and environmental impact. This process includes heuristic analysis, user journey mapping, task-based testing, and assessment of the OC2 footprint to identify friction points, optimize user experience, and minimize the site’s carbon impact.
