The case study

This case study focused on service design for museum visitors, with an emphasis on families with children, kindergarten groups, and school groups. The project explored how a digital service, in the form of a mobile app, could support the entire visitor journey—from planning and arrival to engagement during the visit—by creating age-appropriate, inclusive, and educational experiences.

The Challenge

Families visiting museums often face difficulties such as:

Finding age-appropriate activities for children

Planning visits efficiently

Keeping children engaged during and after the visit

The challenge was to design a user-friendly interface that supports parents and children with different needs, while keeping the experience intuitive and enjoyable.

My role

In this project, I worked as a UI/UX Designer and Service Designer, responsible for shaping the complete user experience across all stages of the museum visit. My role covered both strategic thinking and hands-on design, ensuring that digital interactions aligned with real-world services and user needs.

I led the project from initial research to final UI design, focusing on accessibility, family-centered experiences, and seamless service integration.
